Los Cristianos runs into Las Americas and is a little bit quieter, probably more suited to families and couples, although it still has a large selection of bars, restaurants and shops. The beaches are also nicer in this resort, however, watersports are offered at the beaches in both resorts. Costa Adeje, Torviscas and Playa de Fanabe are at the other side of Las Americas and again would probably be more suitable for families and couples, some of the properties in these resorts are in hilly locations. All of the above resorts are only about 15-20 minutes from Reina Sofia Airport and will cost between 15 & 20 Euros in a taxi.

If you do not want to relax by the pool or at the beach then there are an abundance of excursions on offer: the Octopus Aquapark, where you can ride on the slides, the lazy river or see the dolphin show; Mount Teide, take a cable car right to the top of this dormant volcano; Loro Parque, see the largest collection of parrots in the world as well as seeing other animals from sharks to polar bears to tigers; dolphin cruise, go out to sea on a cruise and see the dolphins swim right up to the boat.
